'Onyx' by Jennifer L Armentrout book review

Whereas this one is pretty different from Twilight and didn't give me those feels at all,unlike the first one,I must admit I still enjoyed it quite a bit,so the Twilight element being why I enjoyed the first one is out of the way. There were,however,quite a few things that I found a bit off.The first half or so of the book was a bit slow and (and I am sorry to admit that and use that word) dull,boring.The romance was still a bit off for me and I just found the entire transformation of the male character a bit rushed.I honestly didn't appreciate that love triangle forming early on and was close to wanting to give up on hope for this simply because of that,but,happily,JLA gave up on that pretty soon,so my hopes were back on.I also disliked the way some of the characters were ignored.I really wanted to see more Dee in ...

I actually went into it with pretty high expectations,I didn't intend to at first(since I basically knew nothing about it but what it was written on the back),but then after I heard E Lockhart talking about what the book is about and what made her write certain things (and also reading out an extract of it),I decided that I was expecting great things from it.Even so,I was still blown away.The story itself is pretty fantastic,I will say that,starting from a premise like that,it would be pretty hard to end up having something I don't like.There were so many brilliant things about this I don't even know where to begin.
