Draco Malfoy aka BABYYYY

Hello,fellas.
So,by this time I suppose you must have just got the fact that I am an absolute Potterhead and also that I have like 1000000 characters on my mind and that a well built character is all I can ask for. Also,I don't know if you know this one,but I also tend to fall for the "villans" or "bad guys" most of the time.
Truth be told,I don't really see it like that.I mean,it's not my fault that most time the ones supposed to be the Nemesis are just so well built and so round and in constant evolution and ugh.

Anyway, let's get to what(more like who,G,keep it straight) I wanna talk about this time.

Draco Malfoy.

Mean or not mean,Draco seems to be most people's sweetheart.Maybe it's because of the amazing Tom Felton, interpreting him in the movies. However, even in the books,I just get this weird urge to just grab him and just protect him from stuff and give him a hug and a warm blanket and not give it back until people (aka Queen Jo) learn how to play nice.
I am a strong believe, like Dumbledore, despite never being ready to publicly admit it,that there is good in everyone even if sometimes it is hard for most to see it.
If I remember well,Draco's first scene was the one where he was introducing himself to Harry while buying some stuff for their first year at Hogwarts.I must admit that Draco just wanted to have this little clique of cool kids around him and I don't really see what's that wrong in that.Posh, but not evil. And then, after being rejected for a Weasley,he decided that if he couldn't have Harry as his little friend, than he'd have to make him about as miserable as he felt when he didn't want to become his new bestie.Really now,how can you blame him?He was an only child from a pure-blood family, one of the best ones in the wizards world, and then this one kid who was actually brought up by Muggles comes and rejects his friendship offer.I think it's more than obvious that this kind of child would hold a grudge.
And really now,you can't say that Harry was the nicest, friendlies creature when it came to Draco. And then he accused his dad of having a connection with Tom Riddle's diary and the Chamber, and he also halped the Malfoy house elf free himself(not that I don't adore Dobby's determination and love for freedom).
It's quite obvious that the one thing the Malfoys care about most is family. They couldn't possibly care less about the world as long as they are healthy and together.Lucius,as stupid as he is,and as much he is a Death Eater, just goes on the side he think will help his family more later on.Narcissa just care so much as well, since she lies the Dark Lord when she says that Harry Potter is dead just because he told her Draco's alive and she realised she could grab him and go.With parents like that,I think it's quite obvious what Draco's most important value was.
But he,for one,was such a scared kid and he had to become a Death Eater because his dad disappointed Voldemort and now he was in Azkaban, and ugh, feels. And his stupid aunt kept pushing him,but he never was a killer. We all realised he wouldn't kill Dumbledore.Ever.Dumbledore knew it himself that Draco didn't have that in him,no matter how much he tried to defend his family. He was never a killer. The same argument is proven right when one of his bestie,Dumb and Dumber, tries to kill Potter.Draco keeps pushing that moment away,he keeps delaying it,because he doesn't want to do it.He just wanted to delay Harry and prevent him from taking the diadem because he knew that his parents were on Voldemort's side at that moment and he couldn't risk anything happen to them if their Lord got bored of all their failures and disappointments.
Now,please,I beg of you, tell me,can you judge someone for defeding his family at any cost?I,for one,can not understand that instinct, but I refuse to judge a child based on that.Of course,he could have avoided getting into Slytherin like his family, just like Sirius did with his,but that's part of Draco's character,so why choose to believe otherwise?Of course,he was iresponsible,he made some bad choices,he was a posh brat, without much care for other people, who had a think for being mean and egocentric guy,but is that the same as being the bad guy?Is that the same as being evil?I choose to believe otherwise.I am not saying he has no fault or he wasn't a douche many times, but he was just the way he was meant to be.My teacher would probably name him "a product of his environment",but I just call him one of my babies.
I just get the urge to get him out and hug him and hide him away because I just can't cope with things being bad for him.But that's just me being me.Which is the same as weird-as-fuck.
Anyway.
That was it for today.

Love always,
Me.

"All the bright places" by Jennifer Niven ~ Review

Rating:   5/5 Plot: I'm not quite sure what it is that I could share about the plot so that I don't give away too much and ruin the charm of the story and the pleasure of getting to know the characters and their story not knowing much about them beforehand.I think I'm trying to do that a lot nowadays. To put it as plainly as possible,it's honestly as simple as it promises,it's the story of a girl who learns how to live from a boy who wants to die. However simple and complicated at the same time this might sound,it doesn't even start to cover everything, yet perfectly describes it. !warning:  there's a lot of talk about suicide in the book,so if you find that triggering, please do try and avoid getting to it Thoughts on the book: It's hard to even figure out where to start talking about this book, this is how big of an impact it had on me,so I guess I'll just start at the beginning. Once again,I've made the mistake (because this i...
