Something like the line between alone and lonely.

Hey there.
Soooo,I was quite bored with the 'serious' posts since I'm quite lazy to write long stuff about not-so-fun themes,so the latest posts have been kinda teeny tiny,so I thought I'd come to a compromise and write some deep stuff about a lovely deep book character.
If you know the tiniest bit about me,than you are probably aware of the fact that I am a real-ass,obsessed tribute (aka The Hunger Games trilogy fan). And there is this one character that is so lovely that whoever dislikes him is a)a serial killer b)heartless (but even so,he may get under your skin) or c)stupid.I am sorry, but it is true. And yes,I am talking about Peeta Mellark, the boy with the bread.
Now,no matter how lovely this guy is,people seriously judged his character after tow of his quotes that they somehow find contradictory. The first one,is when Peeta tells Katniss that he has people to protect and take care of(or something like that,I didn't manage to find the exact quote) and the second is in the arena(in Catching Fire) when he tells Katniss that she has to be the one getting out alive, because if she dies and he lives, there is nobody out there that he can get back to.I have no idea why people think that Peeta is just contradicting himself, since it is pretty clear to me that he is actually talking about super different things,
Firstly, quote A,let's call it that,is basically saying that our beloved Peeta has people to take care of.He has to look after his family and worry about them, not ever knowing what is going to happen to them if he turns his back on them and,for example, runs away with Katniss in the forest. And this is very different from the next one since --
Secondly, quote B is the exact opposite. If the first one shows how much Peeta cares about his family, and their fate, the second one shows hoe they don't really give a crap (at least not in his opinion) about him and whatever happens to him.Having people to care about and having people who care about you are two completely different things. If we can go back to Peeta's first games, his actual mother thought Katniss would be the one to come home and his father went to see her as well and took care of her family.I think he was aware of the fact/thought that his family was ready to let him go,that they wouldn't really mind much if he died during the games and even that they were ready to let him go.We don't get to see much of their relationship after he comes home, but considering that he was so sure there was nothing and nobody to go back to if Katniss dies, then I,for one,am sure as hell that they weren't very nice.
Anyway,I just think that people should get the fact that loving and being loved are so so so very different.Look at it this way,for example: I love books and fictional character, but you sure as hell don't see the book giving me a real physical hug,do you?Nope, you do not.
Anyway.
This was kind of like it.Not a really long post, but I felt like I should write this today.
Love always,
Me.

Gods, monsters and ugly sea fish - Frances Hardinge's DEEPLIGHT

Rating:  ★★★.75 / 5 Plot: For centuries the gods of the Undersea ruled the islands of the Myriad through awe and terror: they were very real, and very dangerous. Sacrifices were hurled into the waters to appease them, and every boat was painted with pleading eyes to entreat their mercy. They were served, feared and adored. Then, thirty years ago, the gods rose up in madness and tore each other apart. Now, none remain. The islands have recovered and the people have patched their battered ships and moved on. On one of these islands live Hark and his best friend Jelt. To them, the gods are nothing but a collection of valuable scraps to be scavenged from the ocean and sold. But now something is pulsing beneath the waves, calling to someone brave enough to retrieve it. Review: The more I think about this book, the more in awe I am even though it's been a while since I've finished it. I had heard people singing Hardinge's praise for age...
