Books and music

So,this post comes together with my new video.Let me just explain my choices a little bit.

1.Wonder by RJ PALACIO

A.'Beautiful' by Christina Aguilera

Some of the lyrics to this song were actually used as a sort of "motto",if I may call it that way,in the book.If you have read the book,it may already make sense in your head, but if you haven't,'Wonder' is basically about Auggie,a boy who has some sort of incredibly rare genetic disorder that makes his face look wrong on oh so many levels. His parents decide to send him to public school in time for 5th grade, and obviously a lot of kids these days (and probably any given time) can be a lot of crap and there is obviously bullying involved.
However,Auggie handles this pretty well and his true colours can shine,he is an incredible person and his friends see his beauty no matter what.
B.'Mean"by Taylor Swift

Obviously I had to go with yet another sound about bullying. To me,and to everyone who's read the book,I guess,Auggie is so special and he is above all the bullies,he is above all the judgemental people,he will shine one day and leave them in the shadow, because that is just how incridble and kind and smart he is,whereas all those kids laughing at him because of things that are out of his league are just wrong.

2.The fault in our stars by John Green

A.'Amsterdam' by Imagine Dragons

This is one of my favourite songs of all time and I genuinely think that it has that Augustus-vibe going on.Despite the fact that the entire Amsterdam part of TFIOS gives me "the feels" and that I think that Amsterdam is one of the coolest cities on Earth and finally that this song is amazing,I think that all of this together goes very well.First of all, because it all leads back to Amsterdam, and second, because,as the song says,'your time will come if you wait for it',and I think we all know that Gus and Hazel have their little infinity shown in this book (and we can't tell how thankful we are for that). And the fact that the song says "I'm sorry mother,I'm sorry I let you down' about a thousand times works really well with the little fight Gus had with his parents before leaving for Amsterdam because of well known reasons.

B.'All of the stars' by Ed Sheeran

Let me just tell you how this song made me cry from second 1 the moment I listened to it.This is for real.I had to pause the clip for a bit after hearing the very first note. This may be the best soundtrack song of all time(and I am not just saying this because it is my favourite artist singing from my future-favourite movie made after my favourite book,no,this song is just incredible and absolutely one of my favourite songs in general. It is so beautiful and it captures the nature of Hazel and Augustus' relationship so well,I just can't.The part saying "you're on the other side" was a little too much for me to take, but I still think this is quite a masterpiece,a little infinity of its own.

C."Everything has changed" by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran

I think that the first moment that Augustus met Hazel Grace everything about these two people just changed,so that the pieces missing from their own puzzles could fit together and finally form that masterpiece that we call an OTP.Neither of them really knew what hit them, and I'd like to believe that it was love at first sight for these two, even if that thing doesn't exist.

3.Paper towns by John Green

A.'On my way' by Lea Michele

To me,the most important part of the book is the road that this entire Margo-situation represents to Quentin. It is not only the road of self-discovery and self-acceptance,but it is in more than one way Q's roadtrip towards Margo. He is on his way to her.He is also a little bad at putting his feelings into words,so he rather shows her how he feels rather than tell, and he's also caught in the middle of the Margo-hurricane and it just fits really well in my opinion,if you think about it.

4.The perks of being a wallflowe by Stephen Chbosky

A.'Alone together' by Fall Out Boy

I thought for quite some time why this song felt so good with this book.I could've chosen 'Asleep' by the Smiths, obviously, but for some reason, these two just fit together like two pieces of a broken heart(if I may quote Miss Lovato).Almost everytime before performing the song,FOB say that this is about how punk rock will never leave you alone, and to be honest,I think that the same goes for friends.Wallflowers, they have this think that makes it really easy to be alone together,to just combine magic and create a unicorn dancing on rainbows.

4.Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

First of all,yes,this is here.
A.'Beating heart' by Ellie Goulding

I do think that the song may fit Divergent better since it was obviously written for it,but I also think of Twilight while listening to it.We all know (don't deny it,you know everything about Twilight even if you haven't read it) that the most important think for Edward for a long while is Bella's humanity(which he hangs on to for as long as possible) and her well being. In other words, her beating heart.Their love story meets quite a few obstacles along the way to happiness,so the song fits quite well.*Hush with the judging now.*

5.The short second life of Bree Tanner by S. Meyer

A.'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons

If you are confused about what this is,it's basically a companion novella to Twilight, following the short new life (what a surprise, right?) of Bree Tanner (plot twist, right?,a newly turned vampire part of that bad-ass evil vampire army shown in Eclipse. It fits quite well with my chose song because it shows a destructive new world,a whole new life that is quite different from everything before and also really complicated and yeah.

This is it,I guess.See y'all later.
Love always,
Me.

"All the bright places" by Jennifer Niven ~ Review

Rating:   5/5 Plot: I'm not quite sure what it is that I could share about the plot so that I don't give away too much and ruin the charm of the story and the pleasure of getting to know the characters and their story not knowing much about them beforehand.I think I'm trying to do that a lot nowadays. To put it as plainly as possible,it's honestly as simple as it promises,it's the story of a girl who learns how to live from a boy who wants to die. However simple and complicated at the same time this might sound,it doesn't even start to cover everything, yet perfectly describes it. !warning:  there's a lot of talk about suicide in the book,so if you find that triggering, please do try and avoid getting to it Thoughts on the book: It's hard to even figure out where to start talking about this book, this is how big of an impact it had on me,so I guess I'll just start at the beginning. Once again,I've made the mistake (because this i
