Nothing

You know those moments when you really feel like/have to say something,or do something, but you just automatically switch to stand-by mode and can't say any single thing. If you are asking, yes,I am talking about me and my tries of publishing something daily.I think there has only been one day without a new blog post, and today was close to being the next, since there's both nothing, but also everything on my mind at the moment. So yeah, here I am at 10 om,watching The X Factor, and I just feel guilty for not posting something, since I take this blog thing as some sort of therapy,so yeah,I go like,' Gee,there's nothing to write about'. And then it struck me.' Nothing. God,I'm bloody brilliant. ' So,how 'bout we chit chat a little about nothing? What is nothing? For real now, what the heck is nothing?Every goddamn time I try to picture nothing I go for a completely white/black room, but that is still something, theoretically speaking,so what the hell is nothi...

Expectations

One of those things that just come with being human are expectations. Now,thinking about this, they are either your best friend or your biggest enemy. No frienemies here, folks. As the complex being that we,humans, are,we tend to have a very specific idea about how things are going to be like for us,and they are called expectations.Well,I guess that's not the best deifinition,so let's go for something better. The Oxford dictionary defines the word 'expectation' as :  noun 1.a strong belief that something will happen or be the case:reality had not lived up to expectations[mass noun]:I sat down in expectation of a feast of nostalgia a belief that someone will or should achieve something:students had high expectations for their future (expectations) archaic one’s prospects of inheritance. 2. Mathematicsanother term for expected value . Me,I am a much bigger fan of urbandictionary.com,so let's check this one out : 1. expectations a guaranteed way for you to make sure ...

The Originals

I know that a lot of people have been in love with the hit TV series 'The Vampire Diaries'(CW TV),made after the book series with the same name, written by L.J.Smith.Happily,the show got its very own spin-off series,'The Originals',that focuses on the lives of the Originals,as the title says, the first vampires, who happen to be immortal and as complicated as a puzzle. So,let's analyse the plot a tiny bit.Klaus returns to New Orleans, the city he built a very long time ago, only to find Marcel,a vampire he created, running the town like a king.Of course,Klaus sees what Marcel has-respect,loyalty,a family and his very own 'clique' every vampire craves to get into.So yes,Klaus stays in New Orleans to get all this things for himself. He is then followed by his lovely (half-)siblings,Elijah and Rebekah, and they also have Hayley, the werewolf girl, who carries Klaus' magic awkward baby. Complicated much? Anyway,I will not go any further into the plot, since I do...

'Team' video by Lorde

So,I was thinking that maybe, just maybe I should take a break from my depressive/ing/ed posts and talk about something that does cheer me up. Music. Not very pretty but we sure know how to run things.  For those of you who don't know her,Lorde is simply one of the hottest things right now,or so I hear. She is a 16 years old girl from New Zeeland, and ever since her hit 'Royals' hit the radios, she is the hot thing at this moment. When I heard about Lorde and downloaded her albums and shared her music on Facebook and stuff, nobody really gave a damn. But now, well, they seem do go all 'Royals' all the time.Is this good or bad? This girl has a bunch of amazing songs, and she is also really talented,I am just in love with her voice, plus she is quuuuuuuite awkward herself. She has this boho sort of thing going on with her clothes, and her hair is really lion-mane level of crazy, and she is really true, and listens to stuff like Fleetwood Mac,which makes me lo...

It is very hard to find a black cat in a dark room, especially when there is no cat.

There I was, looking for something smart to write about, and then I hear this quote. And it strikes me.Boom. I just thought this is so smart and deep and yeah,I went all "Why not?" on it. So,let me explain what I believe this wants to say,in my very own way,a lot sillier, less metaphorical and just plain.Still. Have you ever thought about how we just expect a certain thing to happen, and always look for that thing in everything, just because we have already made a specific idea about the thing, and go all 'Well, that's how's supposed to happen, ain't it?' so that is what we set ourselves for. We all look for that "black cat",if I may use this metaphor once again,in the room because we think that the cat is supposed to be there. We are expecting it to be,but it is hard to say whether it is or not, because the human eye is one easy thing to fool in the darkness,if one does not try to really see. So this is what it really is.We look for the bad th...

Do villans get happy endings?

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairiest of them all? Fairytales are a huge part of every little kid's life.No matter if you turn out to be a mayor or an austronaut,or I don't know,a pirate, you have surely listened to some classic fairytales.I know you'd probably just go all tough, and say "Fairytales?Pfff, nah, those things are crap" but listen up,lying liar, you love fairtyales. You used to do it when you were little and you still freaking do. Okay?Okay. We all just love the story of the princess that has to go through a bunch of stuff just to get to her happy ever after,or the mermaid that falls in love and...well,this one isn't quite happy, actually, since he has to kill the guy,but she chooses to kill herself.Anyway, this is not the point. All kids just love Peter Pan,Aurora,Little Red Riding Hood,Snow White or Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and so on,but does anyone ever,I mean, ever  think about "the bad guys"? Everybody gets their silver li...

Getting used

This is one of the things I've been thinking about on and off for quite a while now.I don't even know why,but it just keeps spinning around in my head. I was especially intrigued by how it is different for us to get used to the good and bad things.I suppose this is just another one of those things that depend from person to person, but I have noticed this specific difference in a lot of people's behaviour (including my own) so I thought I could share a few things about this. Just think about it for a second. We live the biggeste part of our lives in complete misery, whether we realise it or not so much.We are just settling for a bad day,or a bad week, but this eventually has the tendency to turn into a bad life,if you ask me.At some point,we just get used to all the crap and start taking things as they are.We lose faith. We lose hope.We just lose it.The misery and sadness becomes an extension of our personality so we just go for it.We get used to it and stop questioning if ...
