The Originals

I know that a lot of people have been in love with the hit TV series 'The Vampire Diaries'(CW TV),made after the book series with the same name, written by L.J.Smith.Happily,the show got its very own spin-off series,'The Originals',that focuses on the lives of the Originals,as the title says, the first vampires, who happen to be immortal and as complicated as a puzzle.
So,let's analyse the plot a tiny bit.Klaus returns to New Orleans, the city he built a very long time ago, only to find Marcel,a vampire he created, running the town like a king.Of course,Klaus sees what Marcel has-respect,loyalty,a family and his very own 'clique' every vampire craves to get into.So yes,Klaus stays in New Orleans to get all this things for himself. He is then followed by his lovely (half-)siblings,Elijah and Rebekah, and they also have Hayley, the werewolf girl, who carries Klaus' magic awkward baby.
Complicated much?
Anyway,I will not go any further into the plot, since I don't want to spoil it for you.
The show is quite different from TVD,which I appreciate. Not that I don't like TVD,I love it,it has been one of my favourite shows for quite a while, but I do miss Kevin's say in it.Season 2 kind of stays my favourite.Anyway, let's get back to TO.What I really love in this show, different from the other,is that it shows vampires that embrace their inner nature, and it also shows more of the relations ship between different creatures, such as hybrids, vampires,Originals and witches, plus,of course, the humans, because NOLA is simply the place where you can find anything.Sweet old Louisiana.
Also, another amazing thing is how the characters are structured. They are so goddmn well written and thought and ugh.I just can't take all this perfection.Call it the lack of Elena-Gilbertness of them all,but I really think they seem so real and somehow relatable, even if they (almost all)  are supernatural beings such as those mentioned above.
This,I will get deeper into.

Niklaus Mikaelson-Let's not start with my opinion on this baby.Let's get another character's(who is not family related to him).
You are such a coward. This isn't about me. You have kept me here for weeks just so someone, anyone, would see who you really are, and now that I have, it scares the hell out of you, doesn't it?

He was born about a thousand years ago. He's lost one of his brothers back then.He was never loved by a father that he later found wasn't even his. He's always felt like a bastard. He's never been able to trust anyone. He is an ancient, mercyless, vendictive, evil basterd. But he's like a little kid,he's lost,he's been afraid, running for a thousand years from his evil father, who was hunting him and his sibling like animals.I guess that can fuck up anyone, can't it?Especially with what his mom did later on,and after he's lost two other brothers.
He's an artist and he has a lot of class.
All he's ever wanted was to belong somewhere,so tell me if that can't get you a little mad at some point. He is lonely and sad and art is the only way he can epress all those repressed feelings he has, eating him inside out, making him rott.
However, when it comes to people,he always ends up hurting those he loves most, because he knows nothing different. But he somehow manages to get things his way.

Elijah Mikaelson- The eldest brother.Elijah is basically the brains of the family(and the hair,if this counts). He is basically a scary dude with nice hair and also a lot of class.
PS:He's an Original,show a little respect.
He is the loyal sibling, the one that always stick to his word and the one that values honour the most.He never thinks of anything as a lost cause, because he chooses to see the best in people, even if they constantly turn out to be a dissapointment, such as his brother Nick.
He tries to keep the family together and is just very mature and a hopeless romantic and idealist.

Rebekah Mikaelson- Our very own vampire Barbie,if I may call her that. She is the one that always end up hurt,no matter the situation.Either with a simply broken heart,or daggered in a coffin(sometimes even both),she never finds it easy to deal with people in her life, either we're talking about lovers or family members. She values Elijah the most, and he is even the reason why she came to New Orleans, since Klaus has only ever been the one hurting her the most. She still seeks a family, love and a hope, and hopefully she will get these, since she is an amazing character.

Marcel - not much to add, scary dude with some nice teeth.I do appreciate the fact that he has built an empire with strong values and a code to live by.I also love the fact that he has gone from being a slave as a kid(which Kalus has gently saved him from) to ruling New Orleans. That's what I call a development.

Davinna- This girl, not only has to deal with being a teen, which is already hard enough, but also with being the strongest witch there is,being hunted by the other witches, and also living among vampires after she has seen her best friends murdered in front of her.Scary much?
She also tries to become independent ang gain control over herselg ad her powers, which is also kinda amazing, and I do love that. She is a big part of the plot, and is a very interesting character to watch growing, especially since everyone keeps trying to win her over.

Hayley- This werewolf girl was more than pointless and annoying for me in TVD.In TO,on the other hand,I have grown to like her.She is strong and independent, and she is still sane in that crazy war of vamps and witches.I admire her for how much family still means to her even after she's been abandoned, and I really find that impressive.I wanna see what happens between her and Elijah later on.

Camille- This girl,now.Oh.My.God.She may just be one of my favourite characters ever. She is so strong and smart and perfect.OMG.Her twin has murdered some people in a church, then killed himself and she wants to find out why and how and all that. She is a psychologist, and she is the one character who is human and may just loose her mind because of all the vampire vs. world war going on.I mean, she is compelled by everyone, and played, but people still like her.Marcel fancied her,Klaus may actually trust her, which is huge, and we now know that Davinna values her.She is so smart and good at people and trust worthy and ugh,she just makes my heart hurt.

Make sure to check the show out,if you haven't done this yet,I absolutely guarantee you that you won't regret it.It is on the mid-season hiatus,so you can catch up on it and enjoy and thank me later.Normally,it airs on Tuesdays,on CW.
Love always,
Me.

"All the bright places" by Jennifer Niven ~ Review

Rating:   5/5 Plot: I'm not quite sure what it is that I could share about the plot so that I don't give away too much and ruin the charm of the story and the pleasure of getting to know the characters and their story not knowing much about them beforehand.I think I'm trying to do that a lot nowadays. To put it as plainly as possible,it's honestly as simple as it promises,it's the story of a girl who learns how to live from a boy who wants to die. However simple and complicated at the same time this might sound,it doesn't even start to cover everything, yet perfectly describes it. !warning:  there's a lot of talk about suicide in the book,so if you find that triggering, please do try and avoid getting to it Thoughts on the book: It's hard to even figure out where to start talking about this book, this is how big of an impact it had on me,so I guess I'll just start at the beginning. Once again,I've made the mistake (because this i
