Hello,loves.
It's me,again.
So,as you may or may not have already realised,my life is kind of sad and dull, and there is abount an infinity of places I would rather be at any specific point in my timeline so far except from here.My hometown(which never really felt like the "home" part too much, but anyway) is tiny and little and dull and boring and people are mean, dumb and egocentric maniacs.Sorry,I'm not sorry. 90% of them are like that.At least.
However,I am also a fangirl/bookworm/nerd,so happily for me,there are a loooooooooot of other places I'd rather be.And they are most in my books.
Sooo, since there are way too many to be told,I thought about mentioning a few of my favourite ones that just feel like home to me.
1.Hogwarts
Even when I was a kid,my life was about as dull and sad as it is now.Sadly,I actually used to care back then.Anyway,so there were these movies that everyone used to tell me not to watch cause they were shit, but as the little rebel I was,I did watch them.I actually stayed up unti 4 am before a Maths contest to watch them. And it may be one of the few things in my life I have no regret about.
I can't really recall which of the movies it was,but I know I read about the first 2 books afterwards, but I was dealing with some breakdowns and anxiety attacks quite often back then,so I had to take a little break, and I am on to the now.
Truth is,ever since then,Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry felt right.
“Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”
― J.K. Rowling
I don't care that I always thought I'd be a Slytherin just to come to this age(which makes me sound older and smarter than I actually am,but still) and realise that I'd totally sly it in Ravenclaw.I don't care that my acceptance letter got lost somewhere just because my owl was probably killed by You-Know-Who to stop me from achieving my great destiny.I just don't care.
Hogwarts is as much of a home to me as it could ever get.
It's just a place that I imagine and it brings joy to me.I remember Harry and Ron and Hermione, and everyone else there, and it always manages to put a smile on my lips.
How could it not?
If you do not want to go to Hogwarts, you're either a)lying b)a random Muggle c)The Dark Lord or d)DUDLEY DURSLEY,DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF WITCHCR-YOU KNOW WHAT- THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE?!MY POOR BABY.HARRY,LEAVE MY INNOCENT BABY ALONE/
2.St Vlad's
Another series that I have fallent in love with is 'Vampire Academy' by Richelle Mead. So,basically, this is kind of centered around Saint Vladimir's Academy in Montana.
Here's the twist.Except from the fact that one is American and the other British, the difference between this and Hogwarts is that St Vlad's is a school for,(yeah, you guessed it),VAMPIRES.
Well,not only vampires,vampires.More like Moroi and dhampir.I know,I know.'What the hell is a Moroi?What's a dhampir?'
A Moroi is a living vampire, one that lives as a human except from the fact that they obviously have to feed with blood and they also can use the elements as magic,as in fire, air, water and earth.Plus,as a twist, there's a thingy called spirit.Dhampirs,on the other side are half vampire/half human hybrids that are mostly called guardians and are trained to defend Moroi(the royals, mainly.(*Lorde voice* and we'll never be royals-ROYAAAALS,okay,okay.)
St Vlad's is the ultimate place for falling in love, fighting Strigoi(aka dead vampires-bad dudes with white skin, red eyes,no sunlight tolerance and also no magic or soul),learning(doh) and living an immortal life.Sort of.
Anyway, this place doesn't feel as friendly and child-defending as Hogwarts,Kirova is a lot meaner than Dumbledore, but it really feels sort of like an escape that I'd love to try if I were fictional and part of this world.I don't know.
3.Camp Half Blood
'Camp Half Blood, the only safe place for our kind.'
Demigods much?
No?
Fine.
Anyway.
This is a littel axis-mundi from our very own series 'Percy Jackso and the Olympians'(and maybe 'Heroes of Olympus',I'll absolutely tell you after I read that). It is somewhere in Long Island.Basically,CHB is a safe heaven for demigod kids(yes,as in half human, half GOD.As in Greek God.Move on) and it is run by Mr D,aka Dyonisos, the Greek god of wine and all that. He's kinda grumpy because Zeus is mad at him and doesn't let him drink wine,so whenever he wants to,it just changes to Diet Coke or something.
Camp Half Blood mainly consist of the great house, obviously, which is kind of the place where you go all 'oh,nice, anything else?' and then BAAAAM!You see ... the cabins. All 13 of them are built in a very unique way,so that they perfectly represent each of the gods those children belong to.I know,I know, kinda perfect. We then have the training grounds, the lake, and a bunch of other stuff, just in case you can get over the cabins.
This place feels so safe and friendly(except the training-with-swords-and-stuff part) and just the fact that everyone takes dinner together outside(because doh,the gods don't let it rain there, and they also grow strawberries and stuff) and celebrate the gods and it is all such a great comunion with the world, since the nimphs of water and nature/forests come as well and the satirs and omg, hear me sobb.
PS:You can find me in cabin 6 if you ever come around. ;)

4.Lunae Libri
Domus Lunae Libri.House of the Book of Moons.
Hello,Casters.
This one is featured in the series 'Beautiful Creatures' and better of all, wait for it.
IT'S A LIBRARY.
The movie version doesn't quite picture my idea of what the Lunae Libri should be looking like, but it's not that bad either.Honestly,I do think that you'd have to read the books to make a clearer idea of it all, since I don't know if I'm okay with explaining it,since I am not over it because I am never over something.
The point is,this place is just a safe place for Casters(witches and wizards) and Succubi and Keepers and idk. It's just a nice place. And it is a freaking infinite library that leads to everywhere in no time.10 points to Garcia and Stohl.
Anyway, these are the few places that feel really close to my heart, and so do the book series and I thought about sharing these with you guys.
Love always,
Me.
